Vasilii SOVA, Minister of Reintegration, born on July 18 1959, in the village of Crasnoarmeisckoie, Hincesti Rayon of Moldova, Mr. Vasilii Sova is a graduate of the School of Naval Constructions in Nikolaev (Ukraine) and the State University of Moldova, Department of Law.
His career begins as Assembler at Department of Constructions nr. 2 of Chisinau in 1979-1983.
In 1991-1993 he is middle-rank Officer-in-command of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
From 1988 to 1990 he is the First Secretary of the Rayon Committee of ULCTM (Youth Union).
In 1990-1994 he is Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, also Member of the Parliamentary Commission for Issues related to Combating Crime.
In 1994 – 1995 he is Head of Section, Assistant to the Head of CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From 1995 to 1998 he holds the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In the period 1998 - 2002 he acts as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the People’ s Republic of China.
By Presidential Decree of 12 December 2002 he is appointed Minister of Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova.
Upon the Parliament vote of confidence and by Presidential Decree of 19 April 2005, he is named Minister of Reintegration.
He has been awarded the medal of Civil Merit.
Married and father of two children.
